Getting Around
Bus
There is a bus service which stops, on request, in the layby at the entrance to the property with connections to Fairbourne, Towyn, Machynlleth and Aberystwyth Wrexham and Barmouth
Train
The nearest Mainline station is Morfa Mawddach. You can drive (free on site carpark) or Cycle or Walk. If Cycling or walking you could avoid the traffic and go the picturesque route down the Mawddach trail or go down the main road A493 either way it's about 4 miles. The Mawddach trail is a flat easy walk but the 10 minute walk up the track to Cefn Coed is quite steep.
Car
We have plentiful on site parking and the nearest filling stations are in Dolgellau. Please drive slowly down the single track road from the A493 as there may be animals, children or other vehicles on the road.
Walking/Cycling
The Mawddach trail links us to Fairbourne/Barmouth and Dolgellau at the other end, we are situated approximately midway on the trail, the track to Cefn Coed is accessed where the Abergwynant River runs under the old railway bridge into the Estuary. Take the track to the West (or right as you look at it) of the river and just keep walking up!
The Mawddach trail stretches for fifteen kilometres (nine and a half miles) between Dolgellau (starting at the car park beside the bridge) and Barmouth and can be joined at several points, including Pont y Wernddu, Penmaenpool/Taicynhaeaf, Arthog and Morfa Mawddach.
