Living Landscape
Living and grazing across the estate, our animals play an important role in caring for the land. Through natural browsing and grazing, they help manage woodland edges, field margins, and campsite pitches in a low-impact, conservation-led way, particularly over the winter months. Their steady presence also brings a sense of calm and connection, and many guests find that simply sharing space with animals adds a grounding, restorative rhythm to their stay.
Horses
Around the site, you may also spot our two native ponies and three Iberian horses, admired for their calm temperaments and striking presence. While they are a much-loved part of the estate, we do not offer horse riding.
Llama's
Our llamas are a firm favourite with guests, instantly recognisable by their calm presence and inquisitive personalities. You’ll often spot them keeping a watchful eye over the fields, entirely unbothered by the comings and goings of camp life.
Goats
We’re also home to rare breed goats, including English and Old English types, traditionally valued for their gentle nature and excellent browsing abilities. Well suited to this landscape, they play a quiet role in managing vegetation while moving easily through the fields and woodland edges.
Sheep
Our sheep are a mix of Valais and Hebridean crosses, known for their hardy nature and striking appearance. Well suited to conservation grazing, they play a quiet role in caring for the land.
